References are modular objects that are stored in a fixed directory and can be accessed and used by any other modular page on the given website. Possible usecases include:

• Teaserbox
• Contactbox
• News
• Sponsors
• ...

They can be referred to from different pages without having to create a whole new object for them every time, which makes maintenance easier.

Adding a new reference

Adding a new reference is done from the "Pages"-Tab of your backend:

1. open the dropdown-menu by clicking the arrow in the top-right corner
2. choose a reference template and set a title for the object (e.g. a contactbox with the persons name as the title)
3. press continue and configure the object as described in the relevant pages of this documentation, then save it
4. your new reference has been created and can be found in the folder "/allreferences"

Referring to an object on another page

Referencable objects can be referred to from modular pages. To do so, simply create or edit a modular page and open the "Content"-Tab. Then click on "Add item" right under the "References"-section and choose the object you would like to add from the list. After saving your page, the given object will appear on the frontend.
